We will open our 2nd hospital in Cambodia, “Japan Heart Asia Children’s Medical Center” in Ta Khmau, Kandal Province in 2025.
Japan Heart is a Japanese medical NGO and we have been running a charity hospital “Japan Heart Children’s Medical Center” in Oudong, Kandal Province since 2016.
We are particularly focused on pediatric treatment, including pediatric cancer care. This June, we marked 5th consecutive year since starting pediatric cancer treatment in Cambodia. Among various types of pediatric cancer, we’re specialized in solid tumor treatment such as neuroblastoma and hepatoblastoma.
With the opening of the new hospital, we are aiming to reach out to more patients and save as many lives as possible.
This is the biggest challenge in the history of Japan Heart.

Japan Heart Children's Medical Center
Japan Heart is a Japanese medical NGO founded by a pediatric surgeon, Hideto Yoshioka. In Cambodia, we run a hospital "Japan Heart Children’s Medical Center” in Oudong, Kandal Province since 2016.
It’s a charity hospital that consists of pediatric ward, including pediatric cancer treatment ward, general ward, and obstetrics and gynecology ward. We provide medical treatment to both children and adults for free.
We are the only medical organization in Cambodia that provides comprehensive pediatric cancer treatment completely free of charge.

For First-Time Patients
・ Our hospital is located on the premises of Ponhea Leu
Referral Hospital. For this reason, we ask all the first-time patients to go to Ponhea Leu Referral Hospital first and
there patients need to pay consultation fee.
(No consultation fee is required at Japan Heart Children's
Medical Center.)
・Please bring a referral letter from a previous clinic or
medical institution if you have one. Also, please do not
forget all of your past medical documents including X-ray
films.
・All treatment is free for children under 18 years of age.
For patients over 18 years old, we may ask patients to
cover the cost of certain medical procedures such as
biopsy. In that case, our doctors will explain that in
advance.
